I like Pommers a lot, but I love this deal.

This team is so bad this year that there is no reason to believe we could even contend next year. That being said, there was no point hanging on to him for his last contract year. Along those same lines, I’ll be pretty surprised if Miller isn’t traded this summer, hopefully Vanek, too. I don’t care how bad we are next year, as long as we are actively (and effectively) rebuilding.

hackett wore V4s last year with more vintage graphics. also used a vision trapper, 9500 looks like.

Pominville isn't in the last year of his deal. He has the rest of this year and next year, per Capgeek.

If you're talking to me, you missed my point. If Pominville is a rental you don't get as much for him as he's not Jagr, Iginla, etc. Two top picks and 2 prospects for Pominville and a 4th round pick...you make that deal every time.

He's not a rental player. He has a year left on his contract.

Are you fooling with me or something? I said if Pominville is a rental, the Sabres don't get what they got for him.

He's not a rental, we all know that, and that's why we got a good deal for him. I mean really didn't see that or are you just kinda being that way.

I misread your comment, I said my bad, chill.

Didn't see your "my bad" saw you tried to correct me twice. I'm chill. No worries.

The main reason I like this trade is because I've felt for longer than this season that Pommers was only wearing the C because he was a nice guy and taking it away would have been awkward and uncomfortable.
I was hoping Rolston would take it before this :)

Minnesota forums are pretty interesting right now. Many are saying this move means Heatley gets bought out over the summer. Many also think that Fletcher wants Vanek, but not until his current contract expires. They simply can't afford him at next year's cap.

If Pomms is on a line with Parise and Koivu, it will be the 3 captains line!

What forum are you on?

I just googled Minnesota Wild forums and went to the main one. Granted I only looked in the Pommers thread, but everyone there seemed cool, intelligent and pretty objective. And there are tons of posts right now, but that's understandable. Many there really believe they can win the cup in the next year or two, and if they had to give up future stuff to get him, they think it's worth it.

That would be funny.

dude. kipper spec gloves are SWEET. see, they reduced the radius of the gloves after the lockout, so kipper made the cuff box small, so the actually catching glove stayed the same. so, he found a loophole.

im seriously going to try to get a job with a total goalie store if one opens in grand rapids.

my new glove isnt quite a kipper spec, but its VERY close. the only thing that sucks is the pocket is shallow. i like DEEP pockets. +1 if i can. any more goalie equipment related questions? i can go ALL day.

Nope, I tried goalie once, never again. I'll stick to being a skater. Bauer gear all day for me.
