The Bruins and the Flyers will square off outdoors at Fenway Park at 1pm on NBC. The game is currently fraught with uncertainty due to inclement weather.

For years people will wonder if the atmosphere will match up to the original Classic game at Ralph Wilson Stadium, and the answer will be a resounding 'NO.' If the game is like any typical Boston Sports crowd, it will be rife with females in pink hats sipping lattes and talking amongst themselves while sports are played in the background.

The Bruins gained some notoriety for obtaining the last living neanderthal, Zdeno Chara. Chara, who was raised in the forest of Slovakia by wolves and apes will suit up on defense for the Bruins. A fun fact is that his first name Zdeno, was made unpronounceable because Chara himself is incapable of anything beyond gutteral grunts and distressed moans anyways.

The Flyers lineup will feature Daniel Carcillo, who when placed next to Chris Simon didn't just make Simon look like, but actually physically turned Simon into well spoken, articulate Ryan Seacrest.

I love the humor, but Greg Carcillo? Tell me that's a joke I don't get.

My guess is it will sound like that of a Llama during mating season

Found!!!

A recently found photo of Chara during his younger years. Some say, drug use may have played a factor...

In my opinion they need to get back to a football field in the right city.

Also, shit, I'll be rooting for the Flyers too...gotta keep them Bruins down.

nobody traded for Conklin, well maybe they will let him play. i mean he is actually not going to be in net for a outdoor hockey game.

If nobody scores at all due to slushy ice and they call the game, that would be fine. If the "fans" get bored and embarrass themselves and the NHL by booing over the lack of action that would be nice. If Chara breaks an ankle because of the poor surface, that would be pretty good. If Pronger breaks something too that would be great. As a Yankee fan, if the fans go nuts over a crappy game and several serious injuries to Boston players (and Pronger), and in true form tear down the left field wall, causing millions in repairs and a delay to the Red Sox season, I would be convinced that this year will actually be better than the last. I would take vacation for the two weeks in June that the Stanley Cup will be played, and quit my job once I save up enough money for a lottery ticket.

I'm really psyched for this game. Inasmuch I as I don't to see Boston win, I want to see Philly lose more. I mean really lose. Bad.

Here's a recent update regarding weather and such... good read
http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=511864

Why are the last two Classics in Baseball Stadiums? Are they afraid they won't sell out if they were in the football venues? They should just be played at the Ralph every year no matter who's playing.

Anyone think this year will break last years viewer-ship? Didn't last year set some record?
