This about sums it up. Every team goes through little bouts like these during the season. The fact that ours seems to have happened on a long western roadtrip is actually a benefit if we can learn from this. This is why I'm really not too worried. It's easier to tweak a few little things in their game, than to attempt to get effort out of the lineup night in and night out.

Out of this whole trip, this is the only game which I am about ready to lose my fucking mind over. We came to play tonight and it was because of a fucking zebra we lost it. A league man. Well fuck you NHL.

Things aren't going to get any easier for us, we have the Devils on Wed. and it's a safe bet we'll see Miller and Marty B. I hope the guys are that fucking pissed going into that game that they light them up for every beer which will be consumed at HSBC.

Montador looked good up until the last three of four games. However; he's never really been more than a journeyman defenseman during his career. Tallinder's game is seemingly deteriorating back to last years form. I don't care for Butler's game this year; he has regressed from last season.

As I've been saying all along; I'd like to see us pick up another defenseman.

Just got back from the game... Kerry Fraser was ridiculous. How on earth that goal was disallowed in the 2nd is beyond me.

Also, it seems like the west quickly figured out how to get breakaways on us...way too many outnumbered chances against tonight. Frustrating...

My take:

Roy was absolutely horrible. I mean, seriously, bench his fucking ass after he ballet danced around all goddamn night. Kaleta easily had his worst game of the year. MacArthur is utterly worthless. Tallinder stunk.

On the positive, Kennedy/Mair/Ellis played fucking awesome. They kicked some serious ass.

Miller...just OK.

Vanek scoring that tip-in was huge for his confidence, and he really played well tonight at both ends of the ice.

Everyone else: Meh.

Oh, and Kerry Frasier can suck my ass...what a fucked up call.
