Well Ottawa did take the division. Hello, 5th place!

If it makes you feel better, take a look at the standings according to NHL.com:

We are still first place in the division.

Aren't we tied? Or do the Senawhores get the tiebreaker?

We are tied, but in listing the rankings during the season the NHL give the edge to the team that has played fewer games. At the end of the season the first tie breaker is who has the most wins. If this were the end of the season the Sens would take the division, but since it isn't the rankings will show us on top.

Not that it really matters at this point. Thursday we play in Carolina and the Sens host Washington. Saturday the Sens travel to Detroit and we host San Jose. Sunday the Sens travel to the Island.

We will have two games in hand at the break, but if we can finish with two wins and see what happens with the Sens, well...we go into the break with a whole different attitude.

Well, we were one pt ahead, then we went to OT and lost. Which put us two ahead. Then Twattawa won. so points wise, were tied. Considering the G/P column (By NHL.com stats) We're still ahead because they've played 2 more than us.

I hope they aren't happy with being the kings of Technicality.
