Out of the 82 games played in the regular season, every now and again you get one that means a bit more than the others. They're all worth 2 points, a win and a loss in each game counts the same the last, but these games are different. Pride, revenge, continuing a streak, snapping a streak or even just starting the season. These games often mean more to one team than the other. These games mean a lot more than the two points at stake, yet they don't come around all that often.
Then comes April.
All the blood, sweat and tears shed during the regular season are now meaningless beyond an extra game at home in a seven game series and a smaller number beside your team's name. When April comes, the NHL season starts anew, every man to lace them up is given a clean slate, heroes die and goats are sacrificed, their destiny is their own once again. Every game is as important as the one before it, to both teams on the ice.

This is one of those games.
The Sabres head into Boston after dropping the second game in the series in a loss that was brutal for the fans. Boston exploited a Sabres team that decided to phone it in for almost half the game, with the Bruins tying the series at a game a piece and hoping to capitalize with the series heading back to their barn for the next two games.
And our boys can't let that happen.
Game Plan for Victory:
1) Give it 60 minutes;
The Sabres came out flying in the first period in gave it to Boston for a solid twenty minutes, outplaying them physically and every other aspect of the game. The 2-0 score reflected this. This type of effort began to skip in and out in the third period, starting and stopping, reflected by the 5-3 final score.
2) Play both ends of the ice well;
Certain forwards who I have already knocked on did not play well in their defensive end. Certain forwards did not play well in their offensive end. Certain defenders did not play well in their defensive end. Certain forwards did not play well in their offensive end. This needs to change if the Sabres wish to continue to play their system well, AKA, win.
3) Get traffic in front;
Rask has fucked up on a few plays. The fact that he's a rookie playing in his first playoff series has come through every now again, but for a majority of the past 120 minutes he's been in net, he's been solid and has made some great saves. However, he can't stop what he can't see. He can't stop a slapshot that suddenly changes direction, as evidenced by Myers earlier. Make it happen.
4) Crush 'em;
Self explanatory. I want to see Chara need another face cage or two after this game.
LET'S GO BUFFALO
