turn out to be a broken skate for TC. Vanek hasn't been back so he is done for the night probably

Why would he be out of the game for a broken skate?

because it's Connolly

Sorry, missed the joke.

He wasn;t hurt and not out of the game. he just went to the locker room and everyone assumed it was an injury. turned out to be a broken skate

The fact that we traded Timmy is the reason we have been plagued with injuries this season. Without Timmy to attract the bad juju it is spreading out across the team. :naughty:

Why did Leopold get a penalty for helping his goalie get his stick back?

Gotta give that one on Myers but he couldn't really help that one.

Exactly Pat.

We need to stop making excuses for this team. They have been mediocre to poor for going on five years now.

Excuses are simply a reason to avoid admitting the obvious flaws in the team from top to bottom.

This isn't just a month or two glitch; this is five years.

Changes should have been made a few years back; let alone this season, and weren't. It seems to be getting worse.

-10 games. Too early to judge on just 10 games.
-20 games, slow start, but it's still early.
-30 games; we pick it up the second half under Lindy; and we've had a lot of injuries.
-40 games. Let the bullshit start flying to explain being at the half way point of the season, and getting worse as a team.

Couldn't agree more but If they can't make a trade to improve the team long term I wouldn't mind seeing a top 5 pick plus we have 2 second rounders. I know people don't want to wait for players to develop but this organization lacks some serious skill up front. They need a couple of gamebreakers rather than just role players. I just shocked that pegula hasn't said anything yet especially with as much as he's paid out for this crap team. I just wish terry would shitcan Darcy he's not the gm you want to run this team especially with Burke in the same division.

Howie, you realize after 20 games this year we were 12-8-0. For an entire year that is 48-32-0 with two extra games there somewhere.

It really didn't start that badly this year, only after all the injuries happened is when the team stopped stringing wins together or winning regularly.

Even the staunchest fans admitted the team hadn't looked good, despite a reasonably respectable .600 record after 20 games. Their point was it was still early, and we had to give the team time to look better. Well it's no longer early, and it obviously hasn't gotten better.

Please try reading people's posts through, and understanding the gist of what they are saying before you try to pick components of the posts apart.

I never said we haven't looked good these last 20 games.

Some fans might have said we looked bad, but they always do and yes, it was still early, and it's to be expected new signings take time on teams.

If you don't want your post picked apart, don't post it, expect it to be picked a part.

you do realize that 48-32-0 isnt a great record when 3 point games exist, right? thats 96 points. good enough for a 6th in the conference most years.
