That was one funny thread. I remembered being infuriated at his troll stupidity.

I wish we could bring some of the most memorable threads over here :)

Anybody else getting a 2005/06 vibe? I am, and I'm loving it...

Kinda . . . but don't wanna get all crazy.

Keep the W's coming with hard, steady work - no flashy needed. Keep it steady, boys.

Seanothan27, where is that cable-stayed bridge you have in your signature?

That's the "Esplanade Riel" here in Winnipeg. It's a pedestrian bridge that runs over the Red River. It's a bit of a joke around here because of the Restaurant that's built on it. It was built to be a high-end sit down restaurant, but after there were no bidders it became a Salisbury House burger joint...

Nice win tonight. I _really_ needed something good to happen today.

I caught the last 5 minutes of the game, it was the Devil's feed. Doc and Chico were absolutely gushing about the Sabres, Ryan Miller in particular. It was nice to hear.

The whole game was a Sabres love fest with those guys. I like 'em!

I find that, for the most part, NY and NJ announcers on radio and tv are surprisingly objective - moreso than you might think. They're quick to praise the other team, and don't shy away from being tough on their own teams.

They were aware of who our players were, where they have played, and what they bring to the table. Pretty damn impressive.

So you guys had to listen to Doc and the gang too.

Still, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Especially after they started drooling all over the Sabres. :)

complete agree. Outside of RJ and Harry, they are the best commentators in the league. Fair and somewhat entertaining. Annoyed with the old dude doing interviews but I can ignore that

Just got done watching the game...they fucked me on Center Ice by cancelling the feed for the Sabres I had DVR'd, so I had to watch the fucking replay. Anyway, my take is that the Sabres really played under control, dominated early, and then kept the Devils in a bottle the rest of the night after getting the two goal lead.

My 3 stars:
1. Kennedy - Nice job getting your first goal!
2. Pominville - a goal and a great play with his skates after breaking his stick (yet again).
3. Montador - He was awesome on defense and colelcted a couple assists.

Tough night for Rivet...he seemed to give the puck up a lot and didn't play with any authority.

Another solid night for Miller, who right now is playing the best net of his career.

Myers had one bad turnover, but again was just a dominant player who not only will be kept on the roster, but will not be off of it again, barring injury, for the next 15-20 years.

The 4th line was awesome all night, probably our best, and Goose came up huge on that incredible feed from Ellis. Kaleta was a force again tonight, too.

What's with Roy? He is just way, way off right now, carrying over his dreadful play the final quarter of last season. I'm really starting to wonder if it's just a slump or something worse. Terrible turnovers trying to get fancy carrying in the puck, a stupid penalty toward the end of the game, and no impact whatsoever.

Okay, no more bitching...

Great night, and a thumbs up to the General for another solid game and a huge goal to get us going.
