I don't know if this should end up in The Injury Report or not, because it pertains to another team's players yet is applicable to the Sabres anyways, but...

Jay Pandolfo (shoulder injury), Paul Martin (broken arm), and Patrick Elias (don't freakin' know) are all out for Wednesday's game between the Sabres and Devils.

Almost through these Saturday - Wednesday Sabres outages, which as the Connie Conehead would say "Bite The Big One"

This will be the first time the Sabres get to see Mr. Peters, and we also get to see former Sabre Dainius Zubrus.

Should be a good goalie matchup with Brodeur vs Miller most likely.

The injury bug has hit the Devils a bit this year as posted on the Devils website - Monday's news that Paul Martin (forearm) and Jay Pandolfo (shoulder) will each miss four to six weeks had the Devils down, but not discouraged.

Martin and Pandolfo join the list of Devils' injured that includes Patrik Elias (groin) and Mike Mottau (lower body), who did not play in Saturday's 4-1 win at Pittsburgh. Elias has yet to play this year following September surgery, but has begun skating on his own. Mottau is expected to practice Tuesday and play Wednesday. New faces will be called upon until Martin and Pandolfo are ready to return. Defenseman Cory Murphy has been recalled from Lowell (AHL), where he had two assists and a plus-3 rating in four games.

Sekera is still out, and I am not sure what Lydmans status is, but our D has been bolstered more than anticipated with the additions of Montador and Myers (everyone likes M&M's).

Will the Connolly line wake up?

No road loss yet, but our forwards are going to have to find a way to get a few pucks past Brodeur to continue that trend!!

pretty sure the injury section is meant for sabre related injuries. and the devils still have parise, and brodeur. and they proved last year that with big injuries they can rally and still be a powerhouse.

There is a GDT already, it can be merged into that

Big losses for New Jersey. Obviously, you can never count the Devils out of anything, but this seems like good news to me for Wednesday's game.

We know we can get the shots off, but with a goalie like Broduer we're going to have to get dirty in front of the net. The Devils teams D should do a pretty good job at keeping our opportunities to the outside so we need guys screening Mr. Broduer and playing really really nasty in the slot. Marty doesn't let many "easy" or "pretty" ones in.

Nervous about this one...the Devils give us fits.

And since we are nearing the Holiday season, its only fair to mention that a bronzed Mike Grier Mr hanky makes a great gift for any true Sabres fan.

This is a statement game. If we can play well, control the territorial possession, outshoot them, and win the game, they will make believers of a lot of us who are reluctant to buy into the hot start. If they lay and egg and get beat I think it will make a lot of us feel that they aren't quite as good as advertised yet.

That's a very good point to make, ETC. I, myself, am not quite a believer yet. Well, not in the team yet. A believe of Tyler Myers? Oh fuck yes. Anyways, if they can win against the Devils in Jersey, which they haven't done much of in the last what 8 years, they'll be sending a big message.

I thought we've done pretty damn well against the Devils lately.

Well we can beat them, we've done it before and this team is playing great.

Manning the machine gun on the Tyler Myers Bandwagon - just in case any teams have an idea of prying him away from us (3 GM's shot already)

Connolly/Roy - 2 goals in the last 47 playoff games

...or side-to-side. He's a sucker for those, especially when the play originates from behind his net.

It doesn't matter who they start. If they start Brodeur, he will play very well for them. If they start their backup, Buffalo will make him look like he's Brodeur.
