After going through the game pics from last night, I come across this:



Sure, there was no call on the play but it is shit like this that will earn you 2 in the box every other time. Roy is damn well lucky the refs were too busy getting finger-banged on the play or that is called. And what does Lindy do? Keeps him on the top line, gives him a pat on the back and says, "Go get'em, champ!"

Get that pile of crap off the Vanek/Pommer line and move either Enzo or Hodgson up, and then you'll see our #1 line operating as a #1 line.

I actually feel Hodgson and Vanek would work well together. With how many great set ups Cody has given Ennis and Stafford, I bet Vanek would love that.

But then Ennis and Stafford have to work with Roy. =(

I honestly would not mind if Roy got dropped down to line three. Pommers-hodge-Vanek, Stafford-Ennis-Leino, Gerbe-Roy-Kaleta. Roy has to earn his keep with this team. Whatever line he is on goes into a scoring funk. Only common denominator here is Roy. Next year Hodge, Ennis, Adams, Roy/Goose

Wait a minute- what happened to all the chemistry enthusiasts? I can understand wanting to get rid of/replace Roy as a top line center, but why do it at the expense of a line that is currently working so well? I *know* there are people here who regularly complain about Lindy's line shuffles. So why do folks want to screw up a line that IS working well?

Because Roy is that bad.

You see, I see the issue being that the line isn't scoring, not that they aren't generating chances. The goals will come.

I'm not doubting that Roy is that bad- I happen to agree. What I am struggling with is why break up a line that is clicking? Why not leave the CoHo line alone, since it seems to be the best one we've got at the minute?

So toss Leino in centering the top line? Roy needs to go on the top line and that is the only way to get him out.
