We just can't get the puck? Let's try hitting and hitting and hitting

I just don't think the sabres put any effort into tonights game. You blame that on the coach when coming off a long break like this.

On the + side, I liked Grigorenko tonight.

I hated our defense and the refs, but mainly the defense.

May as well get FES off the ice too. I didn't see the whole game, but they ain't picking up where they left off. At least they're only making half of what Tyler terrible is making.

Can we sub in Brennan and Weber for those who suck?

You could, but scratching a $12M guy to play a waiver wire guy is a big kick in the balls to the GM(who was just extended and is all of your children and grand-children's God-parent).

I thought Myers started the game ok but that quickly went downhill. Maybe it's his ankle still bothering him, but he just seems to be disheartened on the ice when moving for the puck. Unless it’s within 5 feet of him, it seems like he doesn't bother hustling.

Over all (minus the top line) there was shitty play all around. Wtf happened to the Ennis, Foligno and Stafford line? Other than Enzo's flow, you'd never know they were out there tonight.

Poor effort, all around. Not the same team we seen the last two games, that’s for sure. This better change going into tomorrow.

Fixed that for ya.

I'm not in a good mood right now, but this pattern just keeps repeating itself. In the pre-game, LR said there were things about Grigs game he didn't like, but he didn't want to 'break those habits just yet'. Seriously, is he coaching guys up, or coaching guys down? Sure, there's things that guys can't do in the NHL, but I'd rather choke on a pack of razor blades than watch 12 Jochen Hecht's play hockey against 12 Jochen Hecht's.

I think he'd be the biggest terd right now. I probably ought to just call it a night, because the flaws that were uncovered in this game are really bugging me. I', gonna try smokin up, and see if that helps. Usually does.

As pissed as I am about the loss tonight, the sun will come up tomorrow, folks. And we'll be back in Buffalo. Lindy best light a fire under their arses and get them fired up. Sure, it's only the 3rd game, but in a shortened season, every point is huge. To say this team played complacent tonight, as a team, is an overstatement.

I'm expecting a better team in the blue and gold tomorrow and I better not be disappointed.

At least Pommers and Vanek are just incredible, and a real privilege to watch. Imagine if Pommers got picked up when waived. There would be broken glass.

The top line looked great once again. Those three are really knowing where each other is on the ice. CoHo is also benefiting from it. He may not be connecting the passes to Pommers or Vanek yet, but they know where he is and is going to be at. It's magic just like all of last season with them.

Defense was slow tonight. Myers was not the only bad spot back there. Ehrhoff played probably the best out of everyone on the backend. But Enroth looked bad side to side where he just got beat. Faulk's shorthanded goal was the kicker though. I know we ended up tying it after that, but at that point it was going to be a long night. Their second line of J. Staal, Skinner, and Dalpe really just manhandled us.

Hoping for some revenge tomorrow night though.

Regehr was pretty terrible tonight, but Myers isn't helping. He needs a sit-down, again.

Other than that 1st line for scoring we've got noting at all to help them out with the scoring.
