If this one takes place, puck drop is at 7pm. Bruins are going to try to get out tonight to head to the 716, I'd imagine the Sabres may sit until tomorrow morning (maybe). From what I seen during the game tonight, the weather is still garbage on Long Island but we'll see what happens.

Sabres looking to add a 3rd straight win to the belt and the B's will be looking for redemption from the debacle in Bahstun. Fully expecting them to have 3 guys hanging off of Vanek at all times, if not chasing him all over the ice and possibly taking shots at him. Think the tone will be set early for this one (Scott/Ott/Kaleta, looking at you three).

I'm hoping my gut is wrong, but I'm seeing the B's winning this one. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Myers dresses and Brennan possibly sitting.

As always, I'll update this tomorrow with any morning notes etc.

Yeah, I just don't see how we can pull this one out. I really just want to see some of them get...special attention.

Yeah, the only way we might win this is if Myers comes back and has a beast game, if miller stands on his head and if Vanek just keeps on doing what he is doing

We can only hope the Sabres were simply saving their energy last night.

A man can dream, can't he?

Myers was scratched last night, and the Sabres gave up half their normal goal total for this season. Coincidence?

(Well, yeah probably since Miller made 41 saves)

Lindy Ruff is clueless. It's more than just Myers sucking complete ass.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he's scratched again, Myers has been maybe their worst player IMO. But yeah, there are a lot more problems with this team's defense right now.

Myers has been bad but to me it doesn't look like a player thing it looks like a system thing. Why else would ALL of our defensemen start absolutely blowing?

Just getting in now from shoveling and using the snow blower (3 hours worth). If this is any indication as to what the north east of the US got yesterday/last night, I'm shocked the teams made it into Buffalo for today! Also, if anyone else is still digging out from this bastard of a storm, stay safe and try to stay off the roads wherever you are. Nice day to stay in and get ready for the game tonight.

So, Myers sits again (Likely a good thing) but Grigo could also be joining him? Likely to add Cody into the mix since, you know, Boston. As long as the sitting of Myers is helping him, cool. But I also want to see MUCH better defensive zone coverage from the guys in uniform tonight. I'll say it again, when you're giving up 30+ shots and great chances as often as the Sabres have been, you're playing a dangerous game. Keep things simple and when in doubt, get it out; none of this fancy crap of trying to skate it out.

I don't see this game playing out as a hockey game. I think it's going to be full of garbage/cheap shots and a lot of face washing after the whistle. Hopefully it's the B's getting the stink palm more than the Sabres.

Interesting game snack for tonight, a friend posted this on facebook so we're going to attempt making it. Anyone else ever give it a shot and if so, how did it turn out?

Scott, McCormick, Kaleta, Ott, Foligno

Boston is fucked. Especially since they don't have Thornton because he's still recovering from John Scott's complimentary face fuck.

Why is Ruff debating on sitting Grigorenko? You're playing him very little on lines with no offensive upside. Play him with Ennis and Foligno or something, not with Scott or Ott...

From the horses mouth:
Quote:
“There’s times he’s going to get good ice time, there’s times where if he’s going well he’ll get more ice time,” Ruff said. “Where you look at early in the game, the handling of the puck, he made some choices I’d like to improve. I didn’t like the way some of the players above him were playing, so I put him in a situation where he’d get more.“His ice time’s going to vary. There’s going to be games where he plays. There’s going to be games where he doesn’t play. There’s going to be games where he plays a lot. There’s days where we really want to work hard on some parts of his game.”

So he thinks he makes poor choices with the puck? Lindy Ruff doesn't look at his defense too often, does he?

It sounds to me like Lindy doesn't have a set line or role for him yet really...
