Happy Hockey Day in America, everyone! The Sabres kick off this awesome day at 12:30, playing against the force that is Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and James Neal of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Buffalo has momentum, whatever that means. They beat Boston on Friday, and are looking to extend their streak of games won to two. TWO!

We can only hope.

This day in Hockey Day in America history: The Sabres killed the Pens 6-1 last year on Hockey Day in America. Repeat today? Our secret weapon from that game, Paul Gaustad, is gone. We'll see how the Sabres get on without him.

Between shoveling and shoveling, I'll be shoveling today but hope to catch the 2nd, maybe the 3rd period of this game. This team put the boots to da b's, they have to nut up against Cindy and the waddlers.

I can’t see a better game to get up for than this one. If Buffalo pulls out two points in any way possible, it’ll add some much needed confidence to the locker room. Hope they come out with the same energy they finished off the last game with.

Other than the third period of last game we had nothing special against the B's. Myers is turning his game around. Hopefully Vanek can get his 5 pt game today ;). Like the original poster said we've got the momentum, hopefully that's enough to take down Crosby, Malkin, Neal and Letang. Fleury's been hot as of late as well.

Go Sabres !!!!

And how was that not a crosscheck on Vanek during our PP, oh yea, it's because we're playing the Pittsburgh Suck the refs dry Penguins.

Did anyone ctch who got the interference at the end, was it us or them?

Once again the Sabres find a way to lose a game. There is no D in the Sabres.

Watching these games is tough. I'm starting to hop on the "fire anybody" bandwagon. There's just no point to keep it going like this.

Buffalo is dead last in the league with 33.7 SA/G resulting in 3.33 GA/G (while Miller is playing well). Something needs to happen. The D is weak but I think that the young centers are just too weak defensively and it shows.
If it weren't for Miller we would get blown out a lot.

That's what I thought too. But it's Pittsburgh, they will never call that against them. So many blown calls in this game, all in Pittsburgh's favor.

It sucks with that last goal, four guys in front of Miller and he never saw it. That turnover by Pominville sucked also that led to the tying goal. I know he didn't see the Pitt guy coming but you should always expect someone being that close to you.

Heartbreaking loss for sure, but they played very well after they got down by two goals. Fluery did play very well also. Gotta give him credit too.

I didn't mean right away because there probably isn't anything available, but this season is pretty much done (although they probably get hot at the end to finish 10th).
I ment start planing for the next season and adress the center issue.

Glad I missed the first period by the sounds of things.

This, by far, has to be Pommer's worst game of the season. He had two chances to get the puck out in the 3rd and bobbled it. I could have shot it out with my dick, for christs sake. Nice that they battled back and played hard and I know the Pens had some good goaltending, but they need to finish around the net; lots of sloppy passing out there as well.

After the go ahead goal, I couldn't see anything on the screen. Everything went white from NBC jizzing all over the place with how boneriffic Cindy was. Maybe I picked the wrong time to give up drinking.

Time to go clean the house and do laundry. Maybe I can wash the stank of this loss off.

Ryan O'Reilly is kind of right there for the taking. We basically know the price it would take to get him. Get him.

Scratching Grigorenko? Why the fuck do we keep him up? What the fuck, Ruff? Either play him OR SEND HIM TO JUNIORS! Now it's too late...
