Sabres hope to avoid dropping their 4th in a row as they take on the Isles at the FNC tonight. Coach Rolston will be making his first appearance in Buffalo as head coach of the Sabres and judging from his first run practice, he'll be pushing this team even harder in attempts to right the ship. Comments like, "Taking too many shortcuts" and, "In a staring match, this team has been the one to blink first" have hopefully been a wakeup call for his new squad.

I'm just getting home and have no clue as to what the morning skate looked like, but my gut tells me Brennan sits this one out if possible.

Just win it, boys.

Bring in Grigorenko. We didn't keep him up from the Juniors to have him sit five out of nineteen games...

I dunno whether to cheer for a win or a loss. On one hand a top 3 pick would be real nice and on the other hand a playoff appearance would be nice (we'd get bounced pretty fast). But wouldn't a playoff appearance basically save the jobs of HC and GM?

Yup a game here or there is ok but he's been sitting awhile now. Hopefully Hecht can sit a game and Grigorenko comes in

Grigs in, Sekera back, Lieno skated again and said he's feeling better.
Brennan and Scott sitting

All great news, especially getting a look at Leino soon, then we can decide if we wanna shit can him.

The lines are supposedly
VHP
GES
FGO
KPH

Kinda liking and excited. Maybe we get a win. The only thing missing that I'd like to get a look at is Pardy hard.

Why would Gerbe be with Ennis and Stafford? Put Gerbe with Porter and Hecht, put Kaleta with Foligno and Ott, then put Grigorenko with Ennis and Stafford so we could get Grigs with an actual scoring line. My only complaint, though.

Let's let Grigs prove something before we pop him on the 2nd line. He's been a scratch ffs. The Gerbel has earned his shot there.

I liked how well the Gerbe/Ennis/Staff line moved the puck last game. I'm sure we'll see Grigorenko on a line with Vanek and Pommers at some point tonight or with Ennis and Stafford or the Gerbe and Staff.

I hope this is the game Grigorenko nets a hattrick and earns his place in the lineup forever.

Don't hold your breath, but I do "hope" so, too. Just very, very unlikely. I'll be extremely pleased with a goal.

took a look at the standings and caps won today so we are officially last in the east and 29th in the league.

So has Gerbe been completely useless, or what?

No, not great, but better than Staff. Feel sorry for Enzo.

Man we are bad, are we really going to get shutout by the Islanders?

Yuppers would way rather have Gerbe out there then Stafford. Such a waste of space Drew is.

So uh... At least it's only half a season we get to watch our team drop the suck load, eh?
