Sabres look to make it 3 in a row and keep their slim playoff hopes alive as the Devils are in town and likely pissed off for dropping the game to the Leafs last night. With the loss to the Leafs, NJ now sits at winless in 6 and will be looking to snap that skid.

Morning notes;

-RR said Vanek is just resting today, should be able to practice tomorrow and back in on Tuesday VS Winnipeg. Starting to think this injury is a little worse than RR is letting on. When Van went down 6 games ago, the play didn’t look overly bad. But, the guy usually plays broken, maybe it’s a mix of a few things.
-Miller first off the ice so he's got the crease.
-No sign of Leino (No surprise there)
-Another regional broadcast so tonight we get to listen to Pierre McGuire (OH GOODIE!!!)


Also, in attempts to boost morale in the arena, tonight is Free-range chicken night. First 10 000 in attendance will get their very own bird.

I like how they're winning with hustle and grit past couple of games, despite a huge void of playmaking ability and offensive skill with Pommers gone and Vanek, Leino out of the lineup.

Miss the days when GDTs were 20-25 pages. Now 1 or 2 at most. This place is dying. Guess that's what losing does to the fan base.

Really another shorthanded given up? Same crap different coach.

Oh look another stupid penalty. How about we throw the puck over the glass next...let's get them all in tonight.

Never go into the comments of a WGR article if you don't want your IQ to drop any lower. Those things are moderated. Think of the guy who's soul dies a little inside each time he hits "accept".
