I'm glad I went...it was a fun game and the Sabres looked at least competent.
It happened so quickly I don't think anyone in the arena was aware of the goal that Myers saved in OT.
I certainly didn't know about it until this morning and I remember that moment of the game clearly.

Wow, we really did steal one there.

I heard it was a blatant goal and the TO room didn't catch it.

Good break for us though. I'm sure San Jose is pissed about it.

As far as I could tell, no one caught it when it happened...neither network showed it and they definitely didn't show that replay on the jumbotron.

I heard the CSN feed actually did show three replays of it.

But, the only logical explanation is the ref had intent to blow the puck before Wingels got his stick on it, thus rending the review completely unnecessary.

Not the first time that rule has come into play, and won't be the last. From the Ref's angle, he would have never seen the puck in the net for that short of a time. Nor would he have seen it before Wingels touched it.

I thought I tried that but it wouldn't work. Then again I was seeing if it worked using the "preview" button. Maybe it didn't work in the preview... Thanks anyway.

Mertle is calling this the "Rolston centipede defense"

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

It looks like a traffic pileup, which is I think the best way to describe our defense...

Pretty sure we can find plenty of instances where three Sabres players are huddled close to each other like that.
