But I'm going to submit it to PuckDaddy with the request that it be given protected status a la the "Too Damn Awesome" clause! :D

Approved! :D

Just occurred to me, how will the numbers be constructed? Navy outline and white interior, much like the striping on the jersey? It'd be a good match!

Well, I've been toying with it in paint, and I'm on the fence. Navy with white outline or reverse? :?

Also thinking of going with a 3 layer number: White then Gold then Navy... :? Font is going to be classic block though, for sure!

I think white body with navy outline would look good. It would play on the contrast of light color-dark color-light color when laid out on the jersey, and it would be in keeping with the rest of the striping on the jersey.

I see you sewed in the insert at the top of the collar...any way you can construct a proper pair of large numbers and two smaller pairs of numbers (one for each sleeve, obviously)?

Yep, Stitched the insert then once I added in the eyelits for the drawstrings, sewed it into the inside/back of the neck. Currently, I'm working on one of two sets to put on this. A white body with navy trim, and navy body with white trim. I've even made a set of numbers for another white blank classic for Ray, #32. Only the Navy is a lot darker than it should be. That is my utility jersey for playing hockey so I don't ruin my others :P

Haha, Tara just bought a new machine recently and I think I've used it more to work on jerseys than anything! My white Lala? I turned it into a pro jersey. Authentic strap, double elbows, gussets, re-enforced all seams/logos/numbers/name. Added NHL shield to lower hem as well. I'm an uber nerd, I know :D

Just played around with it in paint again man, I think you're right. White with Navy may be the way to go. Just to have an idea (and to kill time while I'm waiting for the clock to tick off for the day :P ) it really makes the white stand out nicely with navy for trim.

Well Phil, you were right with your views man. White with Navy trim worked VERY well! :D

Started the numbers tonight and just finished them, the fight strap and of course, the "C". Taking a break for now and will start making the name plate soon but for now, this is the latest update:

Ok folks,

So this is it. The finished product. I was debating on changing up the name plate and going with solid blue letters as opposed to white with blue trim, but I think I'll leave it be for now. Also, phil said it looks pretty killer, haha. I may moved the numbers down a bit in the back so everything isn't all squished together at the top, but for now I'll wear it as it is. Also, you may notice I covered up the AK symbol on the lower hem with other jersey material and added an extra RBK logo at the top/back and inside the neck.

We need to start a campaign to get Don hired by the Sabres in their creative services department!

True that, you need to submit photos of that for a Third Jersey.

It looks beautiful and I would buy one.

Thanks for the props gang, I really do appreciate it! :D

As for making these for profit, as much as I'd love to make a buck off of this, Ehle_Aficionado, I don't want to chance getting slapped with any kind of law suit from the NHL or the Sabres or RBK for that matter if I started to produce these on a major scale. But thanks for the Kudos man. Just curious though, if you were to have one made in this style, who would you go with?

I think for my next trick, I may go with one minus the draw strings, and with the retro logos on the shoulders in a Lafontaine next. I dunno....

Tell me the Sabres look at these boards, and tell me that in the near future, they will contact you to design that jersey for them.... :)

lol Thanks man.

I never thought of this monstrosity as anything that could catch any kind of attention of sorts that the Sabres would consider, but hey, who knows. The Habs have knocked off the Pres. champs and the defending cup Champs for that matter, so I guess anything is possible :P
