I think it's safe to say that the third jerseys we have right now are the best this team has had thus far. Can we all agree on that?

nope. i thought the red ones were so bad-ass looking.

Making these with royal blue would and could be the best thirds.

i'd love/buy one. to be honest i don't really care for the current thirds, though. the lettering& line underneath is too baseball-y to me.

ignoring the fact, of course, that the script was the same used by the AHL Buffalo Bisons since about, oh i dont know, the mid 1950s

Well done Monty! You are partially correct. Buffalo had several jersey - logo styles from the 50's on out. We were the farm club of Montreal, Chicago, and The Rangers during that time, and had several different styles. Script was amongst them. I am somewhat of a Bisons Historian - and impressed that you knew script was part of the tradition here in Buffalo. And I did attend a couple Bisons games as a kid...

I have a book autographed by the author (HUGE props to Tara for the xmas gift) entitled; "Before The Blade".

It documents Buffalo hockey dating back before the Bisons and even before the Aud. We're talking the Peace Bridge Arena, folks. Plenty of talk of the Bisons and the first ever pro hockey in the Buffalo/Niagara region.

We even have 2 Bison/Bottle-cap jerseys in our collection :P

What can I say, we love our Buffalo Hockey :D
