Canucks' Demitra out at least 6 more weeks following surgery

"In a summer in which so much has gone right for the team, the Vancouver Canucks received some bad news as they learned that forward Pavol Demitra will not be ready to start the season with the team.

According to several published reports, the 34-year old Slovak will miss at least six more weeks after undergoing shoulder surgery at the end of last season."

..the guy's getting old (34? I didn't realize he was 34...) and the 'Nucks seem to have pinned a great deal on his ability to provide some needed scoring, on a somewhat anemic offense.

I think the Nucks are going to get off to a slow start.

slow start? any team with luongo in net is more then capable of winning any game, demitra or no demitra.
