Blues bring in D Sydor"St. Louis, MO (Sports Network) - The St. Louis Blues signed veteran defenseman Darryl Sydor to a one-year contract on Friday.
A 17-year veteran of the NHL, Sydor began last season with Pittsburgh and finished the campaign with Dallas. In 73 games he had three goals and 12 assists.
"Darryl Sydor is a true professional in our game," said St. Louis general manager John Davidson. "He's a proven winner who brings valuable leadership to our blueline and will be a positive mentor for our younger defensemen."...It was only a matter of time before someone signed him. I'm surprised it wasn't Nashville - But, truthfully, the Blues are pretty young as well.
Veteran experience, indeed. Must be nice for him to be back in a Hockey town, after all of the BS going on in Dallas recently.
