I don't know that Gretzky doesn't want to just step away for a while. He's being courted by Hockey Canada...

My guess is that Gretz is going to keep a low profile until all is settled with the ball of ass hair known as the Coyotes has been digested. Besides, he is still (to some extent) part owner of the 'Yotes is he not? For him to get involved with the Kings would be conflict of interests = another court battle = SOMETHING WE DON'T NEED!

Maybe after all of that garbage is settled, Wayne may venture back into the NHL on more of a public level, but for now, all I see him getting involved in would be something neutral like Hockey Canada.

..Least I hope that's what is in his future plans
