Brian Hayward wore that shark mask for the Sharks' inaugural season, I believe. He lost a crap ton of games, too.

And that Penguin mask is ace! Nyehhhhhhhhhhh!

I like retro masks that pay tribute to past greats.

Steve Shields' Gary Cheevers tribute mask was one of the best of these, IMO.

I agree, the retro masks are great, but something more then a direct reproduction is needed. the simple designs were cool in the 80's but i dont think they work now. Shields mask was great, Khabibulins new mask for Edmonton is great and it pays a small tribute to Fuhrs mask.
