First up, Brad Marchand blindside elbows RJ Umberger in the back of the head



Then, three incidents in one game! Doug Murray headhunts twice, first on Loui Eriksson (which I guess can't be called Rule 48 if Eriksson tried to pull up from getting blasted in the face, which he did) and then on Thomas Vincour, and then Dany Heatley goes blindside on Steve Ott.

It should have been a penalty from a hit from behind on Marchand, but I don't think there was much contact with the head. I just see mostly shoulder.


But it definitely should have been a penalty.

Doug Murray's first didn't look too bad to me. It seems to me as more unfortunate than anything, but the second one should be an automatic suspension and so should Heatley's...ten games each, they were blatant.

I would say that I have noticed the refs being worse than usual but they always are.

Murray's 1st: Not a bad hit, just bad timing really.
Murray's 2nd: Elbow
Heatley's: Elbow. Also, fuck Dany Heatley
Marchand: Elbow. Also, fuck the Bruins

No mention of Langenbrunner (close enough on the spelling) on Wallin. Boarded him hard in the 2nd and didn't get a penalty.
