Scary stuff. He HAS to retire. One more concussion and he's vegetable-bound.

wasnt LaFontaines reason for retiring similar? ie, one more concussion and he becomes a paper weight.

I think so? I don't remember how his career ended, I just know his tenure as a Sabre ended because the team doctor wouldn't clear him to play even though his personal doctor did.

This is just so sad.

Meanwhile, that piece of shit also known as Cooke still has a job... Real nice.

Basically, yeah. When he got concussed the last time with Buffalo, they team doctors wouldn't clear him to play any more. He forced a trade because he still thought he could play, and got another concussion the next year with the Rangers. That was it. Even his personal doctors told him not to try again after that.

I'd be surprised if Savard didn't try to play again. The way he was trying to scrum it up and provoke teams after he came back from the first hit shows me he isn't the brightest bulb.

Always sad to see a guy's career get ended. Remember when it happened to Steve Young.

yeah, he's going to have to sit for a while. What bad luck considering he got signed to that 7 year deal for Boston.

I doubt Connolly's concussions were so bad like Savard and LaFontaine's, but his were serious also.

Connolly really hasn't been the same since his concussions.
