agreed. i was thinking buffalo, boston, and tampa would be the for sure 3.. and if toronto continues their good play they'd have to round out the four.

I could see how the playoffs may get really boring playing the same teams every year

A lot of you are probably too young to revel in the old Adams Division days. They weren't so bad. That's why I have such seething hatred for Montreal and Boston to this day...constantly losing to the same farking teams every season.

We haven't lost to Montreal this season. And Boston is well just kickass this season lol....

No matter what we will be playing these teams either way some season we'll get swept some seasons we'll return the favor. Every team in the NHL constantly loses to the opposing. There are hardly ever too many sweeps in season series anymore... But playoffs? That's another story...

But I like the whole realignment. We've got a little better shot at the playoffs (percentage wise). But kinda sucks that FLA and TB got thrown into our "conference" seeing that they have improved a lot these last 2 seasons.... And we still have to deal with Boston... Toronto and Ottawa are not that great IMO... TO will slow it down soon...

Join me on the dark side, and all of you can dream of ambushing Chara or Gomez in a Gilooly style attack, or plot a KHL style plane crash for both teams, just like I have all these years! Muhuhuhahahahahaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one here in gods name would be dumb enough to jump Chara.... Is there?

It looks like the NHL went with a realignment roughly based on time zones - Eastern, Central, Mountain, and West (I won't be surprised if those are the names they go with). That explains why the two Florida teams are in the same division as Buffalo and Toronto.

Just on a personal level, I love it. It will mean I get to see the Sabres at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa three times a year, plus they will be on our local television station for the three games in Buffalo.

On a related note, what is going to happen to the Prince of Wales and the Campbell Trophies?
