This has been a long time coming for Ovie. As stated before all he does is cherry pick around the blueline looking for an outlet and rips off some dirty ass crackback hits on the opposition. I like his physical play but much of it could be scaled back a bit.

Cherry pick? No, he doesn't "just cherry pick". You don't get emphasized for your defensive side if you just cherry pick.

And at least he showed some class. He refused to go to the All-Star game because he's suspended and feels like he doesn't deserve to be there.

Dude, catch a game with him in it in person. TV does him to much justice.

I don't agree with this at all.

Michalek's hit was far more dangerous than Ovi's, even though I agree with the Ovi suspension.

It may have something to do with the previous history, I can't find anywhere that Michalek has ever been suspended.

Probably, to me had the hit made his head go a few inches lower, it would of been a pretty nasty boarding.

He claims it was because his knee buckled when he first initiated the hit when it hit his butt.
Oh well, he'll be on a closer watch from now on.

I caught a Capitals game last year and one this year. I've never seen him cherry pick, nor on TV or in person.
