Last time I had some small amount of sympathy for the owners. This time around, when they're paying far more than pre 2004 salaries despite getting a salary cap, I have no sympathy for ownership. They put themselves in this situation. Can't believe this is happening again.

It's July 16th. Two full months of negotiating, which they're already doing.

There may still be a lockout, but people need to calm the fuck down. Worry about it if they're still this far apart in 6 weeks.

I'm a worrier. I get worried when there's nothing to worry about.

No doubt, I'd be pissed if there is another lockout since its rich people whining about not being able to be richer. fuck them...said the same thing about the NFL lockout. I'll have a lot more time on my hands and a few extra bucks I don't have to spend on Center Ice.

Granted, that’s just one opinion.

That quote was taken from the text.

That guy doesn't know shit either.

Still doesn't mean he is in that room discussing anything with the NHLPA and NHL Executives.

It's still his opinion, and you think these guys that work for the NHL know their shit, I know more than these so called experts and analysts. You do too.

I have two feelings on this:

1). If the NHL is dumb enough to lock out again, then both sides deserve whatever bad comes out of it.

2). The NHL doesn't really deserve our attention anyways. A discipline system that is still a farce (maybe Torres is the incident that will finally make things better), and a return to clutch and grab hockey which everyone seems content to ignore because, you know, shot blocking and goalie pads.

Haha, I see it as, he works for the NHL, but so do a lot of people, it still doesn't mean he's in that room getting every little detail.

Say you work for an NHL team, it doesn't mean you know anything more about the team than us fans, unless you're one of the high up people.

That's why I always take something like that, especially when he said it's his opinion, with a grain of salt.

Lots of people work for NHL teams.

Only 30 of them actually vote on shit like this.

Oh, well, now it bears more credibility then.

Still hoe it's just his opinion on this.

i think people are still thinking 04 again. and with the owners demanding massive changes, some that wont ever fly, its easy to see it happening again.
