Eurolanche reporting that Avs will trade Jean-Sebastien Giguere, Chuck Kobasew, the 41st overall pick this year and a first round pick in 2013 for Zach Parise (contingent on him agreeing to a 7 year 49 million deal) and G Johan Hedberg.

For a UFA, I just can't see something like that happening, even from the team that traded two first rounders for Varlamov.

Still need good enough goaltending to win a cup though and he provides it for two more years then.

Parise is still unsigned too. I agree they need to resign Parise too though.
