AKA they've scheduled an outdoor game between the Kings and Ducks at Dodger stadium.

I should also mention that while I believe the ice should be fine (There's an outdoor rink in Santa Monica for several months each winter), the month of January is basically rainy season in LA.
They're playing with fire scheduling it in January.

It's a phrase that basically means, if you wanna see the Sabres at the top, turn the rankings.

True, but up until now it's only been jokes about an outdoor game in LA or Phoenix or Florida.
We're now living in a world where that's all a very real possibility.

I so want them to try and have one in South Florida. There would be no one in the stands

They had a preseason game in '91 in Las Vegas between the Kings and Rangers.

Speaking of full retard mode. Watching the Ottawa/Montreal game tonight and Chris Neil scored in the 3rd. The puck came of the left side heal of his left skate and into the net. He was rushing towards the net at the time and that skate was moving forward. Clearly a "kicking motion" by any definition I every saw during an NHL game. Fucking Toronto said good goal which was completely and utter bullshit. I have seen less get called back. Hell Pominville got one called back after it bounced of his fucking chest

The thing is, was he still skating or did he clearly kick it like a soccer ball? I'll watch the replay on it though later, but if what I get from your post here, he was skating still and it just happened to bounce in.

Just watched the highlight, and you're allowed to turn your skate to deflect a puck in the net, which he did. No kicking motion at all there.

Yeah. It was borderline, but I thought it was a good goal.

Hahahaha, that's great!!!! I know you can "direct" the puck but I still think it's more of a motion towards the net

To me, it looks like he's making a hockey stop and directing it at the same time.

Same here, he leads with the left foot while turning it to stop. Quite the common way to stop, leading with the front foot.
