The shakers and movers of the NHL breathed a great sigh of relief when the Hawks won in overtime in game seven. I have not heard anyone defend the ' no goal' call. I am guessing that the ref had lightening second thoughts about not calling the Zetterberg trip that could have led to a scoring chance so he decided to shut everything down by calling coincidental penalties. The Hawk player was roughed up into the boards after the trip hence the coincidental call. I think the ref made a courageous call on the spur of the moment, and he wasn't as clueless as everyone thinks. If Zetterberg wasn't tripped maybe the puck doesn't get out to the center of the ice for the score. Everyone says this ref is top of the line and maybe this is an example of why that is so. He is taking unbelievable heat, but in his mind he got it right.
