Well, it's that time again. 8 teams are battling it out for a chance to Hoist Lord Stanley's Cup. 6 teams have never won the cup out of the 16 teams in it this year. Who will claim Lord Stanley this year? Will the Kings repeat or get beaten by the Blues in revenge mode for getting swept last year? Can the Maple Leafs make it out of the first round for their first playoff appearance in almost 10 years? How far can the Blackhawks go after thoroughly dominating the regular season? When Crosby comes back, is that a one-way ticket to the Cup?

Get ready for Playoff Hockey on Tuesday. NHL has the full schedule out here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=6682 ... l:topheads

It’s going to be hard for me to watch the East. The only team that I can even stand is Pittsburgh (I know that makes me a minority around here).

I like Minnesota, but they barely backed into the 8 seed, and now they’ve got to face a buzzsaw in Chicago, and will probably have to do it with no Pommer. I’d like to see Anaheim make some noise.

One thing different about this year is obviously the shorter regular season. As the playoffs grind on, this might prove to be a benefit for the older veterans who still play a lot. It might also help the really young guys who aren’t yet ready for and/or never experienced an 80+ or 90+ game season. Then again, it might not mean shit!

What day do they Sabres play? Lol

Did anyone see a mock lottery draft having the Sabres as the number 1? God that would be awesome but if anything that is a bad omen.

I haven't seen too many games with only 6 players left on the bench like last nights game in Ottawa (Habs v Sens)

Fluery is so bad. His 6th goal tonight was a thing of beauty. Reminded me or last year against the Flyers.

2 for 3 on my picks so far. Didn't think Montreal would suck that much, but no one can foresee the injuries they suffered.

I knew the Canucks were a faux 3-seed, but I really didn't think they were that bad.

Chicago, dicking around and losing a game.

Also, it looks like Spezza may come back for the Sens soon. If he comes back and stays healthy... they very well could be Cup contenders.

Well the second round begins today.

Pittsburgh faces Ottawa and much better goaltending than the Islanders.

The Red Wings face Chicago who seem unstoppable.

The Bruins come from behind win in game 7 faces the red hot Rangers with Lundqvist shutting the door in two straight games.

The Reigning Champs the Kings face the only team to play 4 games only last series in the red hot Sharks.

Predictions on these teams.

Ottawa in 6
Rangers in 7
Chicago in 5
La in 6
