Looks like you and me are going at it first Woz. So how does this work? We play one "game" a week?

during the course of the week the NHL players will play their games. the player stats that are listed are compiled through out the week. your record at the end of the week is determined by how many stats you won against your opponent.

Example:
G A +/- PIM PPG SOG W GAA SV SV% SO
ME : 9 15 6 21 3 43 7 2.10 123 .910 3
YOU: 7 21 -1 30 4 33 3 2.10 180 .914 1

i won 6 of the 11 categories with 1 tie so my record would be 6-4-1. yours would be 4-6-1. we use the basic 2 point system with wins=2 ties=1 and losses=0. this determines where you are in the standings like the regular NHL.

as for what you can do. each day (or week if you want to plan ahead). adjust your roster to make sure that you dont have any bench players who have games that day on the bench (bench players wont have their stats counted while they are on the bench) and vice versa. along with that you can add and drop players from your team (whether it be for injury or just sucking (ill do that a lot)).

Who got Vanek, I was hoping to have got him, but I did get Pominville, so lets hope he does good this year, I also ended up with Myers, hehe.

My goalies suck though, Steve Mason, Toskala, and Lethenon.

I see motzie got Vanek and Miller.

I have Elias who is on IR, so could I trade for someone else or add someone else? How does adding a player effect your team?

I don't know, but the BN means benched, so just take elias and with the reserve players you have make someone fill his spot, or ad a player.

I have Hossa who is on IR also, so I switched him with Pominville already.

I have Mike Smith from Tampa as my fourth goalie....a risky goalie to have unless he's over his concussion syndrome. I would def nab Marty if I thought he'd get any ice time.

I put him and Giguere on my watch list at least, because if mine are sucking, which they all sorta do suck, I'm nabbing one of them.

So far, it looks like you fared the best in the draft. You have a pretty impressive line up. My team pretty much stinks with the exception of my goal tending. I'm gonna have to start look at dropping some dead weight.

my goalies rock. Luongo, Kipprusoff, Nabakov, and Hiller. player wise i should be ok for the time being with Roy, Savard, and Chara leading the group. Ideally i would have like another solid scorer but we'll see who breaks out once the season starts.

It works just like the NHL. you can put him on the IR freeing up a space on your roster allowing you to add another player without having to drop one. there is a max for IR spots, i think its 3 but im not sure. Adding a player with someone going on the IR is kind of like a rent-a-player. once the injured player comes off the IR you have to take him off IR the next time you change your line up. at that point you would have to drop someone in order to create a space for said player.

After really checking out my roster I've come to realize that I have decent forwards with Nick Backstrom, Krejci, Hartnell, Iginla, and Lupal. I think my D is weak tho. I'm stoked for my goalies with Thomas, Lundvist, Turco, and Conklin
