Steam is Valve's (developer of the Half-Life series, Team Fortress 2, Left 4 Dead, Portal, etc.) game distribution/sales system. You can buy a game on Steam, and have it accessible anywhere you can install the Steam client. Plus they have tons of sales, indie games, stuff like that. It's really awesome. It's currently only available on Windows, and more recently OS X. Linux is just the next evolution. |

Man do I remember the days I dedicated to Counter Strike. Wal Mart was my favorite custom map of all time. |
