Post subject:  How to get my wireless headphones to play all system audio?

I have a Vizio TV with an optical output, to which my sound bar is connected. I want to hook up my new wireless surround sound gaming headphones to the entire system, so I can watch TV with my roomates home at night (hardwood floors echo the sound). How do I plug my headphones in so I can do that?

On the transmitter you have an input jack, it looks like you will need a splitter cable from the TV or take a regular 3.5 mm audio cable and plug it from the soundbar to the headset.

Do you have analog audio outputs (red/white)? If so use a 3.5 mm to RCA (phono) cable to connect TV audio out to headphone optical in.

Looking at the link, it appears the TV does not have analog audio out. In that case, first you'll need a Toslink (optical audio) splitter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00023 ... sedsorg-20) and two additional cables to connect it (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001TH ... sedsorg-20). Put one end of the output to your sound bar and the other output to an optical-to-analog converter (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004C4 ... sedsorg-20). Then use a 3.5mm to RCA cable to connect those output (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006 ... sedsorg-20) to the AUX input on the headphone piece.
