As a Canadian, I'm obviously thrilled with the outcome of the game, and I am very proud of my boys. But I do have to give major props to Team USA, who played an outstanding game and had an excellent overall tournament. You guys came very close and certainly proved today that you didn't make it to the Gold medal game by accident. US hockey is as strong today as it's ever been, and it only figures to improve in the future. I look forward to many more great battles between our two international hockey teams in the years to come.

USA played a better game than the first match-up, kept the SOG even, but couldn't produce enough quality scoring chances. This is yet another time that I hate being right, but Canada got rewarded for being a slightly better team.

I just keep waiting for a miracle or fairy tale ending as a hockey fan, but it never happens. I really can't count the 1980 Olympics since I was only six and couldn't truly appreciate it. I think the Sabres will win the Stanley Cup before I die though, but it will be the season after they move out of Buffalo...

We all know about Crosby and he has accomplished but no say anything about Corey Perry. Perry has won a cup, a memorial cup, memorial cup MVP, world junior gold and now Olympic gold, and no one says anything about him. :snooty:

All Perry needs now is a World Championship and he'll be a Triple Gold Club member, too.

Christ, Perry is accomplished!

Very true. I don't think ANA will make the playoffs so he and Getz should go to the WC's this year. And he should get a World Cup chance next year.

In Perry's case it is. I dont normally agree with CV but Perry is dirty.

with all the heated debate i think i'm glad that weird al song never came up. i know it's meant to be mocking green day but he takes one heck of a shot at the northern neighbors.

well i can't speak for weird al but i'm sure he meant it as funny. doesn't seem like he'd be looking for an international war.
