Let's hope no one sank as low as to put something racial on there.

Question is also; was he able to read what was written on the lawn? :?:

I'd think they would've said something if it were.

Which worries me as to why the word hasn't been revealed, because it could be anything.

If it was a slur, I guarantee it would be described as a slur and not an obscenity. I'm hoping for something mildly creative like "fucktard" or "cuntflap"

Perhaps Leodis couldn't read the words?

At the same time, this just goes to show how desperate and passionate Buffalo fans are.

They just want to win so badly...

To me it's irrelevant that he cost us the game... The fact is that fans have to realize that professional athletes have lives outside of their work, just like everyone else. When he's playing on the field in his uniform, he's a Buffalo Bill. When he's home with his family, he's just another guy. If you want to express your displeasure towards his actions on the field by booing him at the stadium, then fine. But to go to his home where he's just a normal guy living his life and vandalizing it...that's absolutely ridiculous and anyone who thinks it's okay to do something like that really needs to revaluate their priorities.

there are a lot of good things to take from that game. one we didn't suck against a division rival, we were in that game till the last 2 minutes. As well that is cowardly to vandalize someone's yard over a football game. we have some 15 more, and we get another shot at the pats and this time it is at home. I personally think it was a mistake not to have mckelvin return kicks during the preseason. and after that first fumbled return that they recovered i was hoping that McGee would be in. Plus Brady beat us on the same play twice. what is this don't learn. Brady has this play it worked he's going to look for it again. the short passes killed us. the announcers said countless times the bills should press up more on the pats. As well the announcer said that he thought mckelvin would have been legally able to take a knee.

When I saw an article on this I shook my head. It's not just the man's home but it's where his family lives too. Calling someone out is one thing but getting a person's family involved is different. I realize the person or persons who did this were probably drunk on "emotion" and "courage."

Regardless of the vandal's state on inebriation, vandalism isn't something I view as being acceptable behavior. As much as I want to hate McKelvin right now I have some sympathy for him given the vandalism. Which in turns makes me angry at the vandalizer(s). I'm gonna go find out who did this and vandalize that person(s) stuff! The cycle of ignorance never ends.

From wgrz.com:

"Two messages were spray painted on the front lawn of McKelvin's home.

One said that he should "learn to take a knee", in apparent reference to his ill fated, late game decision to return a kickoff (which he fumbled) instead of downing the ball for a touchback. It also included the score of Monday's game.

The other message stated the same advice--and was punctuated by an obscenity."

The only "fucktard" or "cuntflap" in this situation is the asshole who decided it was a nice idea to vandalize his property. I know this is blasphemy in the city of Buffalo, but Jesus Christ it is JUST A SPORT. I know sometimes it is possible to get lost in the moment, but there's no excuse to actually go to an athlete's house and ruin his/her property just because of an outcome of a game. Really, how low can one get?
