Apparently Buffalo was the location of the first all-star game.
I like the logo too.

Saw this on Mike Harrington's Twitter account. We chatted briefly about it.

It's awesome that the league wanted the 25th anniversary of the game to be in it's original location. I might even go to this.

thats cool. looks like buffalo baseball fans might get to see some up coming talent in 012, because since the mets became the new parent club the curse follows and the talent is well just look at the mets. I'd say the royals stand a better chance at winning a pendent then the Mets.

Apparently, only one game in the history of the International League has had better attendance than Buffalo's grand premiere of the All-Star Game 25 years ago :D

its a shame the MLB never caught on to buffalo. the field was originally made to easily expand for MLB specifications, but it never happened. thanks alot, chicago.

well if we lose football to los Angeles. Are their any baseball teams that are almost going bankrupt that would move.

Buffalo would have had a shot at landing The Expos or The Blue Jays expansion franchises IF we would have had a suitable stadium in place at those times; which we did not.

Mr. Rich was interested in The Expos 22 years ago, until he saw the changing landscape of MLB salaries. He knew this market was more like a Pittsburgh or Kansas City than a Boston, LA, or NY, and thought better of it.
