hey, yankee fans. im not starting a flame war here, BUT.

jeter is going to be 37 next year, and its obvious he will remain a yankee. however, its speculated he will get somewhere between 16 and 18 million. hes hardly hitting .260, and its painfully obvious that number is going to keep sinking.

question is; how do you feel about resigning jeter to that kind of cash when he isnt that player anymore? is it better for him to remain where he made his name?

just a question i have with the off season approaching.

eh. i want to dislike him more for it, but hey. when you are hitting .260, do whatever you can to help your ballclub.

its not like arod slapping the ball out of someones glove, then whining about it. what a chump.

i just think its funny. only the yankees would get that kind of attention, haha. and its even funnier that people are mad at jeter instead of the umpiring crew that blew the call.

or better yet, be mad at major league baseball for sucking since instant replay would have ended the debate in 5 seconds.

How about canning this thread and starting a new one? I don't know if you'd call it pre-season or what, but you get my drift...

well, its the american past time.

hitting a round ball, with a round bat, squarely, is the hardest thing to do in all of sports. its serious fun to play, and watch.

With the acquisition of Gonzales, the rich get richer; and without giving up any major league rostered players.

However; I think they possibly could have resigned Beltre for less than they are going to pay Gonzales, and then put the money they'd save towards Crawford or Werth. No doubt Gonzales is a better long term investment than Beltre though.

They still need to replace Victor Martinez's bat as well. (Solid signing for The Tigers, Irony.)

And Boston tried to sign Mariano Rivera! They would have dumped Papelbon had they been able to make that signing.

Again, a lot of what is wrong with baseball's uneven playing surface. I feel for the San Diego fans, who's team appeared ready for prime time for most of the 2010 season... :(

the sox gave up a SERIOUS good prospect. but yeah, i feel ya. i really hope the tigers make a play at werth, because if they resign magglio to attempt to play right field, im going to run to the nearest living thing and kill it.

It's coming out that Jason Werth signed a 7 year deal with the Nationals.

I'm sure that wasn't a money grab or anything.
