Now that the Olympics have closed for the year, I think a big thank you is in order to all who participated. Aside from NBC's piss poor coverage, I enjoyed just about every moment of the last couple weeks. So many sports, so many great stories, great times all around.

Vancouver did a great job. The best? Maybe not. But, our neighbours to the north welcomed the world with open arms, and did the best that they could do. Can't ever ask for more than that.

Here's the the athletes, coaches, volunteers, and fans of all these games. Thank you for entertaining lazy SOBs like myself with your effort and your spirit.

EDIT: In honour of Canada, I've added some extra 'U's. :p

I'm all for sportsmanship, but not this fast. Let's mourn for a couple minutes before jumping into PC ville.

You can say that again. 42 skiers in yesterday's event were either DSQ or did not finish

Also congrats to the USA for most medals and for Canada getting the most Gold. I have never been a big fan of the Olympics but with three TV stations covering the games I was watching sports I have never cared for like curling and downhill skiing.

Some of those spills were epic too.

I'm glad you enjoyed them. I very much enjoy watching great competition, especially when I have no rooting interest. Makes for some compelling viewing. :)
