I don't give two shits about basketball, but this intrigued me. Isn't he kind of old, slow, and busted by now?

hes still a valuable asset to any team. i really wish he would have moon lighted with orlando for his final tour of duty. but alas, not every legends twilight is spent like griffey spent his.

Didn't he spend his twilight often injured, watching the game instead of playing?

Yea, I gotta agree with you there. A natural decline in ability is a great indicator of playing the game honestly.

Its sad to see what injuries did to his career. Griffey was amazing for so long. And, he certainly wins the award for Sweetest Swing of All Time

in his prime, his bat speed was astronomical compared to many power hitters. i read once it was 110 mph, but as i look, theres no way it was THAT fast. still between his swing mechanics and his bat speed, its a wonder how he didnt hit .330 his whole career.

He's older, but still a great guy all around. Might be hanging on a little longer than he should, but he's still a good addition. Gets them through Perkins' knee injury,
