It's not like Fitzpatrick will be any better.

Yeah, I don't think it makes much of a difference, but maybe this means that Trent is finally done as an NFL QB.

Fitz and Brohm are still terrible, along with the talent level of the entire team for that matter.

Fitz isn't much better. He's just more tolerable to watch.

Quote:
Bills head coach Chan Gailey announced that Ryan Fitzpatrick will start at quarterback this Sunday in New England.

“We’re looking for a spark,” said Gailey.

Gailey said this is the move going forward and is not just a one week thing.

He said Trent Edwards handled the news very professionally.

Neither of them are good but a quarterback is only as good as their offensive line......The Bills offensive line is fucking horrible

I don't follow this team too closely, so would you guys say the concussions did Edwards in? That's the way it looks from the outside.

That didn't help things but wasn't the cause of his issues either. Edwards was a below average QB from the beginning.

I would say so. I think back to that San Diego game where he looked great, and other games back when he first got the job. A couple concussions later, combined with that 3 pick game against the Browns, pretty much shot him all to hell.

he was injury prone coming out of college. I have to agree with the offensive line comment, but if you draft linemen high you take the risk of mike williams who was supposed to good, was well ranked, and the draft gurus liked the pick. As well then they have to become accustomed to the NFL, speed is very different. I think Wes Welker will have a field day next sunday catching slot passes. Fitz can run though which will help him. this team is also a product of poor drafting, Maybin being one of the flock, with hardy on that train as well. Orakpo, cushing, and mathews where all available.

Yeah it seems like it wasn't that long ago that Edwards was being touted as the long-awaited solution to the JP Losman problem. How quickly the tide can turn.

Fitz has one important thing that Trent will never have, and that's the savvy to be an NFL Qb. If Trent had half-an-ounce of awareness, he'd be SHREDDING the 4th qtr. prevent, and having respectable stats(as he should be an expert at it by now), yet the guy can't even get a 1st down against it. Pathetic. Blame the o-line all ya want, but when they only rush 3 or 4, he should be able to make plays SOMETIMES. As Cross said, admitting you were wrong is half the problem, and Gailey has admitted it twice now(including letting Spiller grow as a back-up to more experienced backs). I like the fact Chan will yack ya if your not producing. Skeletor would NEVER do it, and he even be making EXCUSES for the guy. Gailey is the right guy for the job(of HC at least). Now we have to hope Buddy is the guy, too, because Modrak cannot be allowed to make any more selections. If he does, we're fucked no matter who the coaches are.

As a Rams fan, I have no choice but to remember the Ryan Fitzpatrick days. In short, he sucks. On the bright side, you guys might finally get the top-3 pick you've been aching for..

I'm actually hoping that they draft / lockout / draft, so Buffalo can get 2 top 3 picks back to back. :p

Ah, the Pittsburgh Penguins approach. Nice :P

I wouldn't be against a lockout. The Rams have been unwatchable (enormous understatement) since 2006, lord knows I need a break..

Ya, but you've had good Qb's there since 2000, and we haven't in forever. With Fitz we're getting the better of 2 evils, and that's ok, because as Squanto said, Fitz will be watchable. That's good news for Bills fans.
