Courtesy of ESPN.com:

Oakland Raiders have 5-day letter set for holdout Richard Seymour

"Four days after his trade from the East Coast to the West, defensive lineman Richard Seymour was still a no-show, and the situation is getting prickly.

The Oakland Raiders have drafted and signed a five-day letter addressed to Seymour, which means the former New England Patriots defensive lineman has five days upon receipt to report to the Raiders or be suspended, league sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter Thursday night."

What the heck is up with pro football players? Is this some kind of new disease; refusing to honor one's contract? One idiot tries it, and gets away with it - And pretty soon everyone's doing it.

Doesn't Roger Goodell see this as detrimental to league stability?

I can see him being frustrated with the situation with his family, but other athletes have to deal with it. What gives him the right to have some kind of special pass?

This guy's a moron.

Yet another reason why my interest in pro football is dwindling rapidly.

Well he'll only lose money.

This only gets rid of the players who don't care for the sport out of the game.

Because he's a New England Patriot, he doesn't have to play for a different team if he doesn't want to. C'mon meow!
