Favre is inactive tonight. It's over at 297 games.

Glenn Hall's streak is more impressive IMO

No way, most violent game on the planet in Favres era, from beginning til now...don't care. Most impressive streak in pro sports history. Hall's gets honorable mention, but this is by far and away the hardest accomplishment, especially with the way Favre plays. Takes a ton of hits, willing to tuck and run with the ball in his prime...you may not like the man, but don't disrespect the legacy because of personal feelings.

And Moats knocked Favre out. Not sure whether to feel pride or shame for this. :D

I don't think you can compare Cal Ripken and Favre's streaks, the games are just so different in terms of volume and physicality. I'd have a hard time arguing either side.

I'm with Phil on this one.

Not saying Favre's record is anything to snub a person’s nose at. Very impressive indeed and the fact that he's been hammered by some of the biggest & meanest guys in the NFL and kept coming back puts him right up there for sure.

Glen Hall went 502 consecutive games and did so without a mask . Also keep in mind goalies wore padding of lesser thickness than regular players wear today, but top that off without a mask? Dude has my vote, hands down. His teammates had the hardest shots in the league at the time (Bobby & Dennis Hull) so he may not have faced a shot like that on a nightly basis, but other guys around the league could still hammer the puck. Hall would start wearing one later in his career with St. Louis but to stand in front of anyone's slap shot with no mask today for one game, let alone 502, would be considered suicidal to say the least.

I liked Farve and gave him a lot of credit before he started his yearly retire/unretire bullshit.

His streak is impressive, that much is true.

Saw Favre's interview, what a class act. Definitely one of the great streaks in sports.

Its impressive but really who cares. I was watching ESPN to see if they might mention the NHL (which they never do) and its all Favre and the NFL all the time.
