well, seeing how week 17 is coming to a close, and the NFC is figured outside seattle/st louis, as is the AFC, might as well get this thread a going. who ya got, what ya think will happen, ect.

i really hope st louis makes it as the NFC west champs, but its not looking great at this moment.

Packers are in, I'm amazed at how little both teams offenses (pack and bears) put together in that game. I'd like to see St. Louis make the playoffs as well.

New Orleans will beat the pitiful Rams and Philly will beat Green Bay. Atlanta will beat New Orleans and Philly will beat Chicago, both good games. That will set up the drama game of Philly vs Atlanta and the Michael Vick circus will begin again.

Indy will beat the Jets and Baltimore will beat KC. NE beats Baltimore and Pitt beats Indy. NE beats Pitt.

NE beats Atlanta (and any other team that shows up to help Atlanta) and improves to 4-3 in Super Bowls. Now you guys don't have to waste all that time planted in front of the TV.

I hope the Patriots lose and that is all. I would love to see them lose just like the past two years.

I'm pretty fucking happy the Seahawks are in at 7-9 and the Giants are out at 10-6.

I think Baltimore beats the Chiefs and Indianapolis beats the jets. The patriots beat Baltimore and Indianapolis beats the Steelers.

In the NFC, I think New Orleans destroys Seattle and Philadelphia beats Green Bay. I think New Orleans beats Atlanta and Philly beats Chicago.

I ended the regular season as the top prognosticator on my team and as the second best prognosticator in The Post-Standard.

The Steelers are poised for a nice run, the Ravens, Jets, and Patriots are the teams that could possibly defeat them in the AFC.

The Jets, highly unlikely they beat us twice in a year. If we had Palumalu and anything resembling kick off coverage we would have beat them a couple weeks ago. And with the strong possibility of Aaron Smith coming back, well, it's possible they could beat the Steelers again but I believe it's less than 3% probability.

The Ravens are usually the second best team at playing Steeler football, and this season is pretty much par for the course. Second best, the Steelers of course being the best at being the Steelers. With a healthy Ben it's highly unlikely that they beat us in our barn in the playoffs, but with that defense it's folly to discount them completely. I give the Ravens about a 20% chance of beating the Steelers, 16% if Smith plays.

The Patriots are the team we want to avoid, if somebody else would PLEASE  beat them for us that would be grand. Brady scares the shit out of me, their offensive line is like an army of ogres, and Belichek knows exactly how to beat the Steelers. 80% passes, attack the secondary (esp. Willie Gay), frustrate the blitz with screens, and neutralize Palumalu by making smart reads. However, I do think that the Steelers could put up some points against the Pats, so IF they can come up with a timely turnover or two, they could beat them. 64% that the Pats would win, 60% if Smith plays.

If they make it to the show there's nobody in the NFC that worries me. They would make a meal out of Vick, Harrison would feed him to his dogs and rightfully so. The Falcons cannot contain Ben, he will dissect them.

The Super Bowl is going to the AFC again this season, the superior conference with superior talent.

Here We Go Steel-ers HERE WE GO!

I hope the Steelers lose their first game just to piss you off.

Plus I don't want to see them anywhere near another Superbowl for a long time.

A team I wouldn't mind winning it all would be Indy again, the Saints again, Green Bay, or Atlanta.

Just as long as the Jets, the Pats, and the Steelers all lose. And if Indy plays the Pats again, the Colts will win it. They were so close in the regular season had that throw not been awkward for Manning, it was a TD and a lead for the Colts.

The anti-NFL sentiment in me hopes the Steelers win because they are easily the most boring team to watch in this year's playoffs. None of their talented players are likable and they feature a whiner (harrison) and a rapist in the sense that OJ is a murder (roethlisberger).

The worst possible Super Bowls in terms of watchability and national intrigue would be Pittsburgh, Baltimore, or Kansas City vs. Seattle, Atlanta, or Green Bay. Indianapolis, New York, New England, Philadelphia, New Orleans, and Chicago are all interesting on a national level.

Hey Debbie Downers, the Steelers were THE reason for THE most entertaining SB EVER. And many other great ones. I mean, when you get there 7 (soon to be 8) times your bound to be part of a few boring ones. Some of you probably think we still run nothing but stel mills here. lol

Wake up ladies. Most entertaining QB, most explosive deep threat receiver, and the greatest and most entertaining defensive player in the world all here in the Burgh.

Losers hate winners, for they fear that which they don't understand.

Laces out OJ lovers. ;)
