Personally I think Favre's streak will be broken by Manning, and that Dimaggio's hit streak will fall eventually.

There are a lot more records I consider more unlikely to break than Kelly Slaters record or a Triple Double average.

For example:

-Some of Wayne Gretzky's records like netting 50 goals in the first 39 games. They would have to change the goalie equipment drastically that anyone coulld come close.

- Just Fontaine scoring 13 goals in one World Championchip tournament. (soccer)

The 215 points by Gretzky in a single season will never be broken either, and I highly doubt anyone is going to have 92 goals at season's end either.

I vote Glenn Hall's streak of 502 consecutive games played without a mask...

Just sayin.

Most F bombs dropped in a game by Vanek

Anyone else notice how many F bombs he drops?

No way in hell anyone hits 400 wins (baseball) ever again, let alone 500.

I'm not so sure anyone will ever beat 50 TD passes in a single season ever again either.

The only person I could see bettering it would be Manning or Brady, and neither of them are going to have the team that gave Manning 48, and Brady 50 ever again, and especially with their ages too.

This is the absolute most unbreakable record in all of sports history, or sports future...

Babe Ruth's percentage of home runs hit in 1920 compared to the league total - 11.6667 %.

That means in 1920 Ruth's 54 HRs were 11.667 % of the 630 total that year by all 16 teams. That's about 39 HRs per team in 154 games (only Philly hit more as a team than Ruth did that year). In 2010 there were 154 HRs per team in 162 games. Aside from the 8 game difference in season length, that means by today's standards somebody would have to hit 287 HRs....287 HRs to match Ruth's percentage of total league-wide HRs.

That trend continued through the 1920s. There's a reason why Ruth was and should still be such a legend. People today look at season records in raw numbers only and see Ruth down on the list now, but in his heydey his accomplishments mammothed over entire teams. He was a one man wrecking crew until my personal favorite player of all time joined the team...Lou Gehrig.

No baseball player will ever...EVER come close to hitting 11% of the league total of HRs in a season the way Ruth did in 1920.
