most of the comments i made were about the big east's performance historically so past performances are relevant.

Marquette is doing much better then I expected. Wisconsin too. I expected them both to be bounced in the first or second round.

I wouldn't mind seeing UNC or Duke win it, just to keep it in NC. But if UNC loses, I can rub it into my sister's boyfriend's face, ir Duke loses, I can rub it into someone else's face, for fun of course.

At the risk of sounding “douchey”, please allow me to humbly recap.
This thread topic is basically who's gonna win/do well. You say "no idea", then make some sweeping generalizations about how the Big East has done poorly in recent tourney's. So basically you backed into a “prediction” where the Big East would underperform. Please forgive me, but every once in awhile a blind squirrel finds a nut.

So, the ninth place team in the Big East wins the national championship.

Can we still say the Big East is overrated?

I think UConn's win proves it right? Conference seeds one through eight had to be extremely weak if they weren't as good as ninth place UConn.

The argument has been that the Big East is a deep conference. I don't think that it makes teams 1-8 weak if the ninth place team wins it.
