Not going to happen; but we can dream, can't we....?

Reports: Colts gut front office

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay relieved vice chairman Bill Polian and general manager Chris Polian of their duties, multiple reports indicate.

The Colts (2-14) are coming off one of the worst seasons in franchise history. Their season took a huge blow following quarterback Peyton Manning’s offseason neck surgery. Manning missed the entire season after undergoing three surgeries in 19 months.

The Colts sealed the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft with their Week 17 loss against the Jets.

Irsay has a news conference scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

Surely Bill Polian would like to go out on a better note than this..

The Colts didn't play the Jets in week 17. The Dolphins did.

So whoever wrote that article is dumb.

The gist of the piece is that Bill Polian is available as a GM/President.

Overrated. 1 player goes down and you end up 2-14 with a defense that was equally inept as the Bills'. Terrible o-line, either old or mediocre receivers, etc. He didn't build the team well at all. There's a reason he was fired. The Colts' last few drafts were awful.

Overrated GM's don't take three different franchises to the Super Bowl. A total of 7 Super Bowl appearances. Is there another GM who's ever done that?

One bad season in Indianapolis.

His son Chris on the other hand, I have not heard positive things about.

The point is moot I guess; as the senile old bat here wouldn't have him back anyhow.

Jason Whitlock blasted Chris Polian as being grossly inept, in his article today on Fox Sports.

Bill Polian had to go in Indy then, so it makes sense. He was responsible for bringing his son in.

He'd still be magic; sans his son, elsewhere.

7 Superbowls? Bills went to four, and Indy went to 2.

He only went to 5 hired, you could argue 6 since he built the Bills who went to 4 straight.

But only has one win under his belt for GM.

I know he's good and all, but his team should not have done as bad without Manning. It's obvious that team wasn't built that well without Manning.

Manning is not happy with the Polians being let go.

7 is correct; he was General Manager of Carolina when they went to the Super Bowl.

He built 7 Super Bowl teams.

His biggest mistake was bringing in his son as Colts GM. His son is apparently a real ass hat; and obviously a less than stellar GM...

Well it would be an understatement to say they certainly defecated the old sleeping device this season... :|

The Panthers went in 2004...

They lost to the Packers in the NFC Championship game for the 96 Superbowl.

He built 6 Superbowl teams.

It'd be great to get him back, but Gailey is building this team with Nix. Who knows how it'll all turn out in a year or two with them all together.
