I hate Pirates games being on at 22h05 for west coast games, haha.

Also, it's stupid how i have to have DirectTV to be able to watch them, with a special package, and, because I can do that, theyre blacked out for Extra Innings/Mlb.TV

Couple buddies of mine are Pirates fans. You guys have a bright future. McCutcheon is so much fun to watch. Burnett pitches for you guys right? I hear his last outting was lights out type stuff. I hope you guys win a wild card at the very least. Good overall fanbase, unlike the rabies infested Steelers fans. Steelers fans are as bad if not worse then Yankees fans

I hate the fact knowing that my fellow pirates fans, at least the vast majority of them, are also steelers fans, and I hate them for it.

But, thanks, and yeah, hopefully itll be a great year, just like last year(minus the collapse)

I honestly except them to make it over .500 this year, and hopefully a wild card.

And of, Squanto, you can watch indians games in buffalo, you just need to get DirectTV, which offers it, which is the reason why they are blacked out here, which is ridiclous.

I have DirecTV. I've never had a channel that Indians games have been on.

I dont have it, but judging form what my frioend on twitter said (topshelfcookies, if you follow her)

You need this pack, http://www.directv.com/sports/sports_pack, and itll give you FSN Ohio(i think is the network name) in order to watch them.

but again, this is all bullshit, and second hand, so i might be talking out of my ass.

That's how I would watch pirates games legally, because they dont black out the live games on root, same with(ive heard) with the indians.

And, if im wrong, im wrong, I fully admit I'm just hearing about it works, and have no personal experience with it.

It really doesn't have much to do with the channels at all. MLB defines areas where teams have geographic exclusivity, and a lot of them don't make sense. Did you know that Iowa is blacked out for SIX different teams? THE ENTIRE STATE!!

It's all crap.

Thanks for the heads up, but I don't want to change my package for just to watch a couple Sox series a year.

Which guy picked up Chris Davis off the waiver wire in fantasy in week 1? This guy.

Davis is going to knock 40 dingers this year. There is no doubt in my mind. Hardy will smack 23-25, wieters jacks 25 this year. Jonesie will 30. The orioles will finish in the top 3 in homeruns this year. I think they finished second in the AL last year.

If they can get their pitching in order, they'd be a tough out in October.

AL East is strong. Bo Sox are better then I thought. Yankees got enough to play .500 ball. I expect the Orioles, Sox, and Rays to finish around 88-94 wins and all compete for the penant. Blow Jays are a combination of decent players but I don't see them making it out of the cellar this year. Dickey is going to keep getting rocked in the East. Dickey is just getting worked hard early this season.

FUCK YOU AND YOUR KINDNESS.

(In all seriousness, I'd love to go to Baltimore for an Orioles game. If I'm ever around, I'll let you know.)

With that attitude I will forego fun stuff and let you take in some blue light district. Take you to a place where red lights are merely a suggestion for white folks. I was told by a police officer to blow through every red light for 5 blocks one time. Lol

On second thought, you're kindness is most appreciated!

I was just busting your chops. I wish that upon no man.

I thought the Jays would be melding together a little better then this. It's early and you can't win the division first month in but you can def lose it. I see the Rays making a 6-3 run over the next 9 and ousting the Yanks and dropping them into 4th place. If the Sox pitching can hold current pace for the next month and a half-two I can't see them dropping far enough in the second half of the year for the Yanks to pass them. I see the Yanks finishing in 4th. Sox third. Tampa, Baltimore fighting for the division.

I know it's early, but, wow, was I wrong about the Nationals.
10-11 as of this post, and the Braves looking really, really strong.

I honestly do not understand what happened. I mean, the talent they have should have them winning the divison, but, yet, they aren't.

Long season though, so, time to recover.

Also, Pirates have been going way better than I expected. Three wins(accounting for half of the braves losses) against the league leading Braves was nice, two of which I had tickets for and went.

It's always the beginning of the season for the Pirates, or at least the past two years. Then the trade deadline comes and goes, and then it's all over. :(
