I love being a teacher. I've been doing it for 20 years and have no plans to do anything else at this point. The pay is crappy here in Florida and I bring a lot of work home, but kids crack me up and everyday is something different.

My summer job is a lot of fun. I really enjoy it even though one would think 8 hrs a day working in the park, 5 days a week would suck but it's really not too bad. You just have to make the best out of opportunities. hate the job or not.

Gamestop is fun, but I do not enjoy asking people if they want to purchase a year of Game Informer, I don't like asking people if they need to preorder stuff, and I do not like asking people if they want one-year warranties on their disks all in one transaction.

I really like picking and choosing depending on what I feel the customer will respond to. If I ask someone if they have an Edge Card and they tell me no and don't seem interested in finding out how to obtain one I'm not going to bother. Asking people for three different add-ons is slightly ridiculous and annoying.

I love my job.

I get to work whenever I want, and write about high-end cars. I've gained a lot of knowledge about the automotive industry and its history. My hope is that in the near future I can work towards getting some press cars.

I don't "hate" my job, but it's not the greatest. In the end, it makes me money and I'm lucky to have a job.
Still, there are a lot of things that piss me off. Such as customers that complain about how long it takes to make their food. I understand it's the drive thru, but I cannot magically produce your food. It takes time and there's other orders. When we only have one or two people preparing food, it's going to take more than 1 minute, especially when you order 25 dollars worth of food and ice cream. Example, 5 minutes before my shift ended today, some guy came through the drive thru and ordered 5 mini blizzards (I work at Dairy Queen). Now, tpday, the person scheduled to work in "chill" (ice cream and such) didn't show up. One employee was on break. We had 3 people working in the restaurant. So, this guys orders his 5 blizzards, 3 different flavors. So, as I try to prepare them, I get another order in drive thru. Then another, and then another, and then another. So now making these blizzards has taken longer than expected. As I finally begin blending them, I look towards the window and this guy has the nerve to start waving his arms as though I forgot about him. Sir, I understand you want your ice cream, I'm making it right now, calm the hell down, I am one person.
Also, people who seem to think I can control the prices. I prepare the food. I'm not the damn owner. A small blizzard is indeed 4 dollars. You don't have to come here, McDonalds is just a few minutes down Transit Road. Jesus tap dancing Christ! you do not have to come here.

It's just I don't like the profession I've chosen and I don't want to stay and work in accounting firms as a career. Longer hours and tax season is such a bitch to do.

Training to be one.

Just because you have a designation doesn't mean you should be doing what you're doing, I know quite a few CPAs who are just so stupid.

i'm just doing the school thing right now, but when i worked at aeropostale a couple of years ago (even though that wasn't my last job), i remember some great customer/employee situations that make me smile. for example:

a customer came over to me to tell me she needed a fitting room. i then looked at her and said "that's nice", and proceeded to carry on straightening the store up. a couple of minutes later, i walked over and told the manager that the customer was talking about a fitting room, but i didn't know whether or not she wanted one, since she didn't ask me directly for one.

yeah, i'm an asshole, but we had a good laugh about that one.
