Gragnani scores 1:05 into OT. Pirates win again after winning last night.

Pirates up 3-2 in the second intermission over the Checkers (fucking Canes farm team). Goals by Adam (7), Parrish (3), and Whitmore (6).

Pirates win AGAIN! Luke Adam and Corey Tropp score in the shootout and David Leggio stops 4 of 5 to lead the Pirates to a 4-3 victory. David Leggio is still undefeated (5-0-0) and Luke Adam has 7 goals in his rookie season, which is tied for the league lead.

Luke Adam is a pure goal scorer for sure. Glad to see him finding the net like that.

Pirates have their winning streak snapped tonight, but Luke Adam scored two goals in an attempt to save the team's bacon. His 9 goals cleanly lead the AHL, he's now second in league scoring yet again, is still the only rookie in the top 20, and now leads the Portland Pirates in scoring.

Leggio was NOT in net tonight for the loss, being given the night off by Dineen so he could get some rest before the weekend started. In net for the Pirates tonight was some schmoe who they signed to an ATO.

Well, at least Adam is a beast, and Leggio did need some time off with Enroth with Buffalo.

Gosh I can't wait for Adam full time, who is number one in scoring, and what does Adam have? 9 goals in how many games and how many points?

Make that 10g and 17pts in 15gp. Portland won tonight 5-2 over Adirondack with Leggio in net at home, leaving both the rookie and their home records untarnished.

Matt Ellis also had an excellent night, scoring a shorthanded insurance goal and getting two primary assists. Ellis has 13pts in as many games and sits 13th in the league in scoring.

Pirates won tonight 4-2 over the Springfield Falcons. Both Luke Adam and Mark Mancari had 1+1 in the win. Pirates are in 1st in the AHL with 23 points. Luke Adam leads the league with 11 goals and is 2 points back from the league leader in scoring with 19 points in 14 games. Mark Mancari is 5th with 8 goals and 18 points in 15 games. David Leggio has a record of 7-1-0 because the Pirates are giving him excellent goal support to help off-put that 2.71GAA.

This crazy firewagon hockey the Pirates are playing (60GF/50GA) might come back to bite them in the end, but they're getting the job done right now.

I gotta look up the numbers somewhere, but all this winning is padding Kevin Dineen's record as the winningest coach the Pirates have ever had.

Well hopefully Enroth picked up some tips while with the big club and can come back and be the man for the Pirates in goal, once Miller is back of course.

Leggio is playing lights out right now. 7-1, 0.917 he currently is the man in goal. Enroth will be a bonus.

Leggio may look good now, but he's gotta get that GAA down from 2.71. He's getting awesome goal support but otherwise he's not been so amazing except in the clutch.

Pirate D-men

Shiestel +14 (#1 AHL)
Biega +10 (#7 AHL)
Persson +8 (#18 AHL)

I know they lead the league in goals, but wow
