I know it's opening this week. I love hearing about our new young prospects. Anyone going to Niagara to see it?

Also, does anyone know what the roster is? I searched for it, but couldn't find it.

I'm on vacation all week, and only a couple minutes from NU. I'll probably shoot up tomorrow.

I wish I still lived in Buffalo I know I would be going. Keep us up to date if you go. Hopefully someone here or Sabres.com will have video's from the camp. Would like to know how some of the prospects are looking.

Never mind, here is the roster per the Buffalo News:

Quote:
The full list of campers:

Goalies: John Cullen*, Nick Eno, Connor Knapp, Michael Houser, Nathan Lieuwen

Forwards: Luke Adam, Steven Beyers*, Riley Boychuk, Daniel Catenacci, Tyler Ennis, Marcus Foligno, Cedrick Henley, Christian Iasckson, Colin Jacobs, Justin Jokinen, Zack Kassian, Jacob Legace, John McCarron, Brad Navin, Jonathan Parker*, Steven Shipley, Kevin Sundher, Shawn Szydlowski, Corey Tropp, Phil Varone*, Geordie Wudrick*, Matt Zarbo*

Defensemen: Mark Adams, Nick Bailen*, Alex Biega, TJ Brennan, Nick Crawford, Corey Fienhage, Jerome Gauthier-Leduc, Alex Lepkowski, Drew MacKenzie, Matt MacKenzie, Brayden McNabb, Mark Pysyk, Drew Schiestel.

The asterisks denote camp invitees who are not currently Sabres property.

Is it me, or has that Nick Eno kid been going to our development camps for a million years?

I hope Michael Houser gets a contract, he should have been drafted.

Jesus I feel bad for Adam. Lindy really gives it to him.

I'd like to see more stuff like this. The meaner side of Lindy.

I didn't think Lindy was all that bad in the vid, but he was definitely cracking me up every time he whacked Adam in the helmet. I'd be surprised if Adam doesn't improve in this area next year, but it sounds like he and Lindy have already had this conversation a few times.
I'd like to see more vids like this, too. I could watch hours of this stuff.

You know, I'm a moron. I'm gonna be in Buffalo Sunday and I never put the pieces together. How long does this camp last? Through at least Sunday I hope. What times are they on the ice?

I know they goto atleast Sunday at about Noon. I do not know the scheduling for training after that.

I'm sure Sabres.com has something on it.

If anything, it sounded like Lindy was "hard" on Kassian. I loved that, "...cause you're a rookie"

I checked out the scrimmage today. It was pretty good stuff. The place was packed. Lots of people had to stand.

Probably the first thing that struck me was this camp did not have a whole lot of size. Good skating, yes, but not size. In fact, the position where we had the most size was goal!

Ennis was obviously the best guy there. We know Foligno and Kassian and a few other Amerks will end up in the NHL, too.

As far as the "unknowns" (to me anyway) are concerned, take my comments with a grain of salt. This is the only time I've seen any of them. In fact, I hadn't even heard of some of them before today.

I liked Navin. He's a 6'2" center who had at least 2 points and could've had more. This guy was in High School last year! (52 pts. in 14 games) Szydlowski looked really good. 6'0', 208 lbs RW. had a nice goal and could have easily had another in the same shift. I guess we must have gotten him late last year, because he played 2 games for Portland, but 66 in Erie for 41g-37a-78pts. I liked Varone (invitee) and Jokinen, also.

On Dee, Fienhage looks likes he's got a real nice nasty streak, and the size to deliver it. Crawford, Drew MacKenzie and McNabb looked good. Bailen, an invitee from Fredonia is a really crafty offensive defensiveman, but he's only 5'9".

I wasn't really impressed by any of the goalies, but Lieuwen wasn't playing.

Hopefully, I can see the camp again next year!

Thanks. :)
Is he a regular Sabres guy, or an Amerks guy? Or both?? Is he any good?
No reason, just idle curiousity.
